So, my dream starts with me in my mom’s new house, but it’s way bigger and fancier than the one she actually bought in real life. All the lights are off, and I’m just wandering around, waiting for her, but I’m also snooping a little, judging her for spending so much on a house. There’s this one room with a huge pool that somehow feels like it’s outside. There’s even a boat in it, and I spot a shark that I’m trying to save. I eventually figure out how to save it, but I’m not sure if I actually do.
Then, I find my cat in a tiny chicken coop, but there are no chickens—just her, and I’m holding a ton of eggs that I’m supposed to give her. So, I start cracking them open and feeding her the yolk, like little cups. Then I crush the eggshells so she can eat those too. After feeding her, I get some poop on me, but it doesn’t really bother me—I just accept it and go wash my hands. As I leave the coop, my mom calls out to me, saying my sister’s about to arrive. But, of course, I still don’t see her. The whole dream felt kind of ominous and dark, but when I was feeding my cat, it was the only part I actually enjoyed. Normally, my dreams are a lot more dramatic and emotionally intense, but this one felt a little easier to process. Just wanted to share this and see what anyone thinks!
This dream could be pointing to feelings of care, nourishment, and your role in nurturing those close to you. The act of feeding your cat—especially with something as wholesome as eggs—could symbolize your desire to take care of others, even when things are chaotic or unsettling (like the ominous atmosphere of the house and shark). The fact that you didn’t mind getting poop on you may suggest a level of acceptance in dealing with life’s messiness, especially in your relationships with family members. You might also be subconsciously reflecting on your feelings toward your mom and your judgments about her decisions (e.g., the house purchase).
The shark and the pool also stand out—perhaps representing a desire to save or protect something vulnerable in your life, which ties back to the nurturing theme. In contrast to the chaos, feeding your cat brings a sense of comfort and calm, which could signify a part of you that’s seeking solace in simpler, more fulfilling actions, like caring for your pet. The lack of emotional intensity might be a sign that you’re processing these feelings with more ease than usual.
