In the dream, I had just gotten off a plane and was rushing to catch another flight. This airport was massive and impossible to navigate. I ran into some of my family, and they tried to get me to watch a movie with them, but I was determined to catch my next flight. The problem was, finding my terminal was a total nightmare. The hallways were more like escalators that twisted and turned in all sorts of ways. If you didn’t get on the right one, you couldn’t correct yourself. I had less than an hour to get to my gate, so I was in a total panic.
Eventually, I found the path to Terminal S, but it was just this long, never-ending line that stretched on for hours, winding all over the place. As I stood there, waiting, a celebrity—J Lo, of all people—showed up behind me with a small boy. We tried to have a conversation, but it was awkward as heck. I had a small purse slung over my shoulder, and when I turned around, I heard the boy say, “Mom, why did you take her wallet?” Sure enough, J Lo had my wallet in her hands and was trying to hide it.
I took the wallet back from her and asked her why she’d taken it, especially since she already had so much money. She brushed me off, saying it wasn’t a big deal and I was being unreasonable. I ignored her and thanked the boy for speaking up.
After that, she was totally obsessed with trying to steal my wallet. It turned into this weird chase where I was shoving my way through the line, trying to escape her. Meanwhile, the boy was left behind. As I moved through the line, there were all these games and obstacles I was forced to participate in, which only made me more furious because I just wanted to get away from this crazy lady and make my flight.
The back-and-forth continued, with her grabbing my wallet and me snatching it back, but eventually, I’d had enough. I threw her over this tall spiral staircase, and she fell and died. Oddly, I felt this huge sense of relief, but no one else in the line seemed to care.
In the end, I’m not sure if I ever made it to my flight, but I was so angry at how much hassle I had to go through to do something that should’ve been simple.
