this dream happened about two years ago, but it’s still stuck with me. In it, I was back as a teenager, livin’ at home. And lemme tell ya, I hated that place growin’ up. I never felt safe there, so in the dream, I was beggin’ my mom, like, “We gotta move away. I wanna move away.” It felt so real, like I could actually feel that desperation again.

Then, suddenly, I was at school with my old classmates, and they were bein’ just as mean and harsh as they used to be. I remember screamin’, “Why are y’all bein’ so mean to me?” It hit way too close to home ‘cause, as a teenager, I never felt safe—not at home, not at school. This dream really brought all that pain back up.

Things shifted again, though. I was walkin’ as an adult across a pedestrian crossing in the middle of a city. That’s when I saw it—a black cat, clear as day. It walked straight toward me, showin’ its teeth and hissin’ like it was tryin’ to intimidate me. And honestly, it worked—I was a little scared. I started hissin’ back at it, hopin’ to scare it off, but it didn’t budge.
