Almost a year ago, I had a dream about my childhood friend’s cousin, and I still can’t stop thinking about him.
To give some context, I’ve known him since I was a kid, but we were never close. He lived in another country, so I hadn’t seen him in years. About three years ago, I met him again after a long time, and he had gone through a major glow-up. However, we never really talked alone, and I never had romantic feelings for him—until I had these dreams.
The First Dream: The Wig Incident
The first dream was really weird. I don’t remember all the details, but I do remember that:
- We were hanging out in a mall together.
- Out of nowhere, he snatched my wig off. (At the time, I had cancer and was bald in real life.)
- I was shocked, started sobbing, and ran off.
- Later, he messaged me in the dream, apologizing. He said he didn’t know I was wearing a wig.
This dream stuck with me because of how random and emotional it was.
The Second Dream: A Romantic Turn
- This dream was different—more emotional and romantic.
- I was at the beach with him and my childhood friend.
- My friend was hanging out with another guy, so I ended up spending time with her cousin.
- At the end of the dream, we kissed.
- That’s when I woke up—completely shocked.
The Weirdest Part: The Dream Came True?
Here’s what really blew my mind:
On the same day I had the second dream, I was going to celebrate Christmas with my childhood friend. When I told her I had a dream about her cousin, she looked shocked and told me, “He’s coming over today.”
I hadn’t thought about him in a long time, and suddenly, I dreamed of him the night before he showed up? It felt like I predicted it.
When he arrived, he didn’t really talk much (understandable), but now I can’t stop thinking about him and these dreams. Why do I keep dreaming about him? What does this mean?
Dreams that involve sudden revelations—like someone removing your wig—can symbolize vulnerability, especially when dealing with a real-life issue like cancer. The emotional upheaval may signify a process of healing and acceptance, as your subconscious grapples with fears of exposure or fear of judgment. The subsequent apology from this person in your dream suggests a longing for empathy and support during a challenging period in your life.
The second dream’s romantic twist can reflect newfound intrigue or an awakening of deeper feelings for someone once considered merely an acquaintance. Dreams often draw our attention to connections we’ve overlooked, hinting at unexplored emotional bonds. The uncanny timing of dreaming about him right before a family gathering could be a synchronicity or a subconscious cue, prompting you to consider the possibility of a more meaningful link with this individual—spiritually, emotionally, or both.
